We join Gregory, a pal of IESEG is expatriate in Sydney. We generously hosts for a week in his penthouse apartment in the district of Elizbeth Bay close to Kings Cross. What a luxury after our last dingy backpacker in Perth!
We spend our days here to ride around the city. Francis discovers Sydney Opera House, that 's done. It reminds me a lot of memories from when I was a student at Wollongong and where we were going to make small weekend in Sydney. Greg include Patrick, aka "Satchet" the Australian housemate Ludo when we were in Wollongong. We'll drink a few pints, he has not changed.
We also find Florent, the roommate of Kiké in Paris, who is also doing a world tour. He tells us how he got stuck in a small town in Bolivia because of a miners' strike and how and how his taxi was attacked with dynamite when he tried to leave the city. It also makes us dream by telling us that he found himself in the middle of a police operation against drug traffickers at the border between Peru and Ecuador and how, while traveling by bus, it s' is waking up with a gun to his head. Fortunately it was "only" a plainclothes police officer who told him not to make any noise as it was about to stop thieves. Apart from his, our world tour seems to be quite a walk health!
I also have the privilege of being the first IESEG to meet Priya, the Australian Greg girlfriend, super nice. One evening Greg takes us to visit his office at Maersk in a skyscraper full central business district, which has a great view of downtown Sydney. It's already the end of our stay in Australia. It only lasted a month end. We fly to New Zealand. Thank you again for your welcome Greg!
